PURCHASING OF WOOD – long-standing supply networks established

At our purchasing division, we have established long-standing supply networks to ensure the supply of wood in terms of quantity, quality and cost-effectiveness.  This enables us to ensure production processes that are stable, efficient and high quality. We therefore maintain good contact with the forest owners and sawmills, and build partnerships through continuous collaborations and reliable relationships. When selecting our suppliers, we make a point of ensuring that they are PEFC certified whenever possible.

We make a point of ensuring the shortest possible transport distances for our raw materials so as to ensure low transport costs on the one hand, and to reduce the environmental impact associated with road haulage on the other. As far as possible, we transport by rail for both our purchasing and sales. In this context, almost all of the pulp we produce is currently transported by rail. Our actions towards our environment and society are characterised by responsibility, and we respect our partners and employees. We believe it is necessary to maintain and further develop the trust that we have earned from our suppliers, customers and the general public on a daily basis.
